Sweden lifts all travel restrictions for Nordic countries

Starting from the 31'st of May 2021, Sweden has decided to lift all travel restrictions for travelers from Nordic countries.

The Swedish government has declared, that it will lift all travel restrictions for travelers entering Sweden from other Nordic countries, starting from the 31'st of May. This means, that all citizens traveling from Denmark are exempt from the requirement of presenting a negative covid-19-test when crossing the Swedish borders starting from monday. 

This is the start of an bigger opening of domestic and foreign travel to and from Sweden, according to Swedish Minister of Interior, Mikael Damberg, at a press conference the 28'th of May. 

 

Non-Swedish-citizens entering Sweden from countries outside of the Nordics will still need to provide an negative test, while the travel ban for countries outside of the EU/EES is extended.

Swedish citizens will still need an negative covid-19-test when travelling to Denmark.
